Greatest Achievement at Deerwoode? Shooting a perfect 50 in a rifle tournament against another camp. After dinner that night, Hank made the days announcements and my score, and our victory was mentioned. Bill held me up like a hero. That was a great moment for a kid.
Favorite River Trip Memory? Running through the cow pastures to get ahead of the lead canoe in order to set up an appropriate ambush. Once in the field realizing you also had to outrun the bulls. I was run up a tree at least once.
